Under the coordination of TFF, the “Hasan Doğan Upper Class Referee and Upper Class Assistant Referee Training Seminar”, with the participation of a total of 522 upper class referees and upper class assistant referees, started at Klassis Golf & Country Club. In this big organization that will take place on 4 & 14 August 2008, the “Journey to Excellence Program” prepared by Baltas Group will be presented on 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12 August.
On August 5, Prof. Dr. “Journey to Excellence Program” initiated by Acar Baltas, Prof. Dr. It will be carried out by Acar Baltas and Baltas Training Program Managers for 6 days.
During this program, which aims to enable referees to effectively transfer their technical knowledge to the field by reconciling basic management skills with team leadership skills and improving their communication skills, the topics will be discussed with lectures, case study discussions, video screenings, and the whole program will be continued with the understanding of mutual communication.
The Journey to Excellence Program is based on three basic concepts: Professionalism, respect and the spirit of the game. Around these concepts, the program objectives are determined as follows.
• Communication, coordination and cooperation as a referee team • Decision making • Managing strong emotions and anger-related behavior • Recognizing potential challenges that may cause problems and gaining skills in managing unsportsmanlike behavior
In order to achieve these goals, the following skills and competencies will be addressed:
• Active listening • Giving active feedback • Using body language effectively • Demonstrating safe behavior • Coping with negative emotions and objections • Keeping the locus of control internally • Gaining a positive way of thinking • Being proactive
