Leadership has gained importance in every situation in every period of life. The concept of manager, which means administrator in the old language, cannot meet the complex needs of today’s world. The information contained in the weekend edition of any major newspaper is more than the sum of information that a person living in the 17th century would encounter in a lifetime. We cannot “manage” anything in such a world. But we can lead. Leadership means influencing and changing the outcome. Neither more nor less.

On the other hand, the reality of the industrial society is “produce, store, sell”. On the other hand, the reality of the information society is โsell, produce and deliverโ. Under these conditions, it is not possible to solve the problems of the information society with the mind maps of the industrial society. So a business leader;
- Business processes should be restructured
- Relationships should be defined differently
- Problems should be addressed from a different perspective.
The contemporary business leader has to think with today’s mind maps to make his past experiences valuable.
