Air Force Academy Command 2nd National Leadership Symposium was held on 21-22 March 2013, on the subject of Leadership Adventure and Leadership in the 21st Century, in order to support the education and training activities carried out at the Air Force Academy Command and to increase the experience and knowledge of Air Cadets on leadership.

Dr. While Acar Baltas moderated the session titled “The Adventure of Leadership”, Prof. Dr. Zuhal Baltas moderated the session titled “Leadership with Values, the Importance of Ethics and Social Responsibility”. Prof. Dr. Zuhal Baltas evaluated the session she chaired with the following message:
“Decisions are choices based on values, and the decisions taken by leaders affect the whole society. Adopting people as the highest value and not risking wasting any generation in the rise of society is becoming more and more prominent.
With business ethics turning into a management discipline; Leaders’ ethical codes directly guided employee decisions. The absence of ideals and values to which existence is attached is the main obstacle to the creation of a sense of meaning. However, a leader who manages with values ensures that values that integrate with the principles behind ethical codes are adopted and behaviors are displayed in that direction.”
Prof. Dr. In the “Adventure of Leadership” session, Acar Baltas discussed four issues that are changing in leadership today and that contribute greatly to the leader’s ability to create an impact by providing a sense of meaning.
