The symposium titled “Education and Brain” organized by the Private Schools Association of Turkey was watched with great interest by approximately 800 people under the leadership of the Minister of National Education Nimet Çubukçu, with the participation of Ministry officials, private school founders, administrators and teachers. Well-known scientists from our country and foreign countries who are experts in their fields came together and shared their knowledge and opinions on the subject.
In this valuable Symposium, Baltas Group President Prof. Dr. Acar Baltas met with the participants with his speech titled “Translating Potential into Performance”. Private Schools Association shared the final declaration of the meeting with all participants and members with the following statement.
“In order to turn the potential in our children into performance, schools, administrators and teachers, officials who prepare curriculum, all people and institutions who have a say in the development of our children must be knowledgeable about the interactions between the brain and learning.
In light of the scientific developments revealed in the symposium; “It is the duty of all of us, especially the Ministry of National Education and our Higher Education Institutions that train teachers, to know our responsibilities and to transform our competencies into proficiency in this regard.”
