The Association of Health and Insurance Managers (SASDER) held its 4th International Congress in Antalya between 5-8 November 2015. SASDER, which set out to be one of the active stakeholders in the formation and implementation of National Health and Social Security Policies, organized scientific conferences, panels where current problems were discussed and social activities at this Congress.
In this meeting attended by all association members, Prof. Dr. Acar Baltas made a presentation focusing on the fine line between people’s good and bad decisions and explaining with examples why smart people make wrong decisions.
Underlining that just as service cannot be provided with old hospital buildings, there will also be no management with old management approaches, Baltas gave a speech that shed light on the participants to be aware of their irrational but consistent behaviors that affect their decisions and to “decide without making mistakes” instead of “thinking without thinking”.
