While the first day of the World Business Forum, where 30 Turkish business leaders had the opportunity to meet the world, started with great excitement, the excitement continues for the breathtaking speakers on the second day of the event.
The first speaker of the event on Tuesday, September 23 was Bill George, who was the CEO of Medtronic, the world’s leading medical company, for 10 years. Speaking under the title of leadership, Bill George stated that the starting point of developing leadership is personal awareness. He also underlined that as George progresses on his leadership path, wealth, success and image should not be confused with leadership.
John Chambers, CEO of Cisco Systems, the world leader in digital technology development, gave his speech under the title of Innovation, Vision and Growth, which is on the agenda of business life these days. In John Chambers’ speech, he defined the two cornerstones of the growth strategy as “Creativity” and “Willingness to Action”.
Michael Porter, who is considered the world’s greatest authority on strategy, was the third speaker at the event. Michael Porter, who shared the topic of strategy with the participants in the stages from planning to implementation, impressively expressed the role of strategy in the intense competitive environment.
In the 4th session of the event, companies from the rapidly developing and booming economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China found a way to compete with companies that have been in the market for a long time and were previously described as untouchable; Roger Agnelli, Gulzhan Moldazhanova, Narayana Murthy were evaluated under the moderation of Antoine Van Agtmael.
In the last two parts of the event, Terry Leahy gave his speech titled Directing Customer Values, while the closing took place with Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright. Powell and Albright talked to participants about the challenges of unrest in global politics; developing trends in trade; They provided an experience that participants watched breathlessly, from developing trends in economy to sustainability.
