Baltas Group, which serves the business world with its experience over the years, discussed the topic of “Motivation” at the Psychology and Business World Baltas Group Tuesday Meetings on October 20, 2015.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Acar Baltas answers the question “Why do people work and how do they work better?”, to which institutions have been seeking answers for a long time. He brought unconventional approaches to the question. Sharing that managers should stop following a dead end such as motivating employees with external rewards, Baltas emphasized that instead, they should focus on the meaning of the work done and help their employees find meaning in a way that will build a bridge between the reason for their existence in life and the work they do.
At the end of the meeting, the participants left with a different mindset to create excitement in the work environment, based on the scientific basis of “motivation”, one of the most abused concepts in business life, based on the discipline of psychology.
